Free Checklist — Dental Practices

The Dental Practice Website & Online Presence Checklist

Run through these 10 checks against your own site and Google Business Profile. Most new patients compare a few practices online before booking — these are what they look at.

  1. 1

Google Business Profile is claimed, verified, and complete

Correct categories, hours (including lunch closures), services, accessibility info, and real photos of the practice and team.

  2. 2

Patients can book or request an appointment online

Many patients would rather book at 10pm than call during office hours. An online booking or request option captures them.

  3. 3

Insurance and payment options are clearly listed

"Do you take my insurance?" is one of the first questions new patients have. Answer it on the site, along with financing or membership plans if you offer them.

  4. 4

There's a clear "New Patients" page

What to expect at the first visit, what to bring, and how to fill in forms ahead of time. It removes the uncertainty that stops people booking.

  5. 5

Your dentists and team are introduced properly

Real photos and short bios build trust faster than stock images. People want to know who'll be treating them.

  6. 6

Emergency dental care is easy to find

If you see same-day or emergency patients, say so prominently — and make the phone number tap-to-call on mobile.

  7. 7

Each treatment has its own page

Implants, clear aligners, whitening, pediatric care — a page for each helps you rank for those searches and answers patients' questions.

  8. 8

You reply to reviews without revealing patient details

Respond to every review, but never confirm someone is a patient or mention their treatment — keep replies general to stay on the right side of privacy rules.

  9. 9

Your site loads fast on a phone

Most patients find you on mobile. A slow or clunky site sends them to the next practice in the results.

  10. 10

    Patient forms are handled securely

If patients submit health information through your site, it needs to go through a secure, compliant form — not a plain email contact form.
