Free Checklist — Plumbers
The Plumber Website & Online Presence Checklist
Run through these 10 checks against your own site and Google Business Profile. Each one is about the same thing: when a pipe bursts, making sure the call comes to you and not the next result down.

- 1
Google Business Profile is claimed, verified, and complete
Correct primary category, service areas, hours, services, and real photos of your team and vans. A half-finished profile loses to a complete one nearby.
- 2
Your phone number is tap-to-call on every page
In the header, the footer, and on every service page. Someone with water on the floor won't go looking for it.
- 3
Emergency availability is impossible to miss
If you take after-hours or weekend calls, say so at the top of the page. It's often what decides between two plumbers who look the same otherwise.
- 4
Your site loads fast on a phone
Most emergency searches happen on mobile. If the page is still loading after a few seconds, that visitor is already calling someone else.
- 5
License and insurance details are visible
Customers letting a stranger into their home look for proof you're legitimate. Put your license number and "licensed & insured" where it's easy to find.
- 6
Each main service has its own page
Drain cleaning, water heaters, leak repair, repiping — a dedicated page for each ranks better and answers the customer's actual question.
- 7
You have a page for each area you serve
One generic "areas we serve" list can't rank for "[town] plumber" the way a page written for that town can.
- 8
You have recent Google reviews and you reply to them
Recency and replies both matter. A business that responds — including to the occasional bad review — reads as more trustworthy.
- 9
Non-urgent jobs can be requested with a simple form
Not everyone wants to call for a quote on a bathroom remodel or a new fixture. A short form catches those leads.
- 10
Missed calls and forms get followed up fast
Have a way to call back every missed call and form the same day. The plumber who calls back first usually gets the job.
